The Angie Show
And this is why Angie Miller and her "Dream Big" slogan still reigns today!

I had the privilege of watching Angie's mini showcase at the uberpopular mall Gandaria City in Jakarta this past weekend, and it was a super chill acoustic night with 10 fab songs from her. The free concert was arranged by FOX and Star World - the channel that airs American Idol here - to promote the show and Angie herself. Given her immense popularity, it's no surprise she's the non-winner from her season to have been given the opportunity to perform after S10's Haley Reinhart last year. Not to mention her style of music is what's big around here so everything makes sense.

The Piazza venue on the ground floor was packed with hardcore Dreamers everywhere, and Angie seemed to have the time of her life onstage, as you can see from the videos below. We were a loud crowd and she LOVED it. She was surrounded by Starbucks and pizza restaurants throughout her performances. I can tell our city left a thrilling impression on her by her constant tweets about it and the fact that she told us that we were the best city she has been to so far on her international tour. Proof: she spent more than a week here and even vacationed in Bali (we were her last stop before she headed back for Boston).

Angie's set list included the following tunes:

* "Titanium"
* "Diamonds"
* "Put It On Me"
* "Roar" ~ special duet with her opening act, newcomer Teza Sumendra
* "I Can't Make You Love Me"
* "Who You Are"
* "Radioactive"
* "Halo"
* "You Set Me Free"

Great post.. thanks for posting all the videos together! The audience was great and she had to be super happy about that. Very glad that you could be there! It had to be a lot of fun.

She has a great live and I wish I could see her too in the future although I guess that's pretty impossible since she's not coming to Spain. It's funny that the actual winner is less popular than her and has more promotion.. it proves that winning is not the important thing in these contests. You can be a bigger star is the fans support you later.. which I think it's Ben Hazlewood's case as well. I'm sure when she has an album she will sell more than the winner and other people of that edition.

Must tell you that I've not seen AI in a long time so I have no idea what happened.. maybe I will catch up this weekend.. but you can see that I lost interest very fast because there wasn't nobody that really impressed me.

Tomorrow I work 3,5 hours -which is good- and later I want to go to see a film at 19:40.. we'll see if that can finally happen xDD.. I'll tell you.. :)

Catching Up + Divergent ;)
Hey! First of all, thx so much for your comforting message. *Hugs* I appreciate you a lot. We think alike & that douchebag really showed his true colors - he also snapped at a few other ppl that night. It has all passed though & the guy apologized to me multiple times so I gave him another chance, but that's only 'cause we've been talking everyday for a year. If something like that happens again, I'll shut him out of my life for real. You and Haley made me 10x better <3

Agree about Angie. She and Ben might be alike in that they really have all the fans' support and that's important.
Speaking of "AI", it actually got popular after the first couple weeks, which made it nearly as good as Haley and David Cook's seasons. And it was certainly way better than last year's mess LOL But it got draggy after a while.

It's still worth it though, but you can just tune in to next week's TOP 4 night :)
We're down to Alex, Caleb, Jena and Jess now after Sam got cut last week so this has been one of the best TOP 5 ever since Kris Allen/Adam Lambert's year (though I'm still not fond of Jess LOL).

Alex remains my favorite above everyone else - he's been topping the iTunes charts every week and never got in the B3 (along with Caleb), which means he still has selling potential. I think (and a lot of ppl predict) he could be the winner.

As far as song choices go, "Idol" did a very good job allowing new music. We've heard stuff by Lana Del Rey, Kings of Leon, Ed Sheeran and more new artists, something the previous seasons never did.

So you finally saw "Divergent"? :D Let me know how it was.

Re: Catching Up + Divergent ;)
Well, You are the one who knows him.. I think that if it's an online friendship is different than in person.. if it was in person I'd never forgive him no matter what he said later a million times.. but that's how I am.

Sorry that I'm late replying but it's been a busy evening.. thanks for the updates! I think I'm not gonna catch up with AI because I've lost interest but honestly, it's great to know what say about the music chosen and all that.. and well, Sam was my favorite so it proves that this season wasn't for me.

I've seen the 3x01 and 3x02 of THE VOICE AU.. it remains my favorite the voice.. it's just always fun and with great talent.. I loved both eps and tonight there's a new show that I'll watch tomorrow.. hopefully I'll post some videos on Tumblr/facebook from there.

Must go to sleep.. talk to you soon! :)
